(You may like to print this tutorial (see under the File menu of this window), it is about 2 A4 pages long)

In this tutorial you will see how to use Repligator to transorm your images with special effects.

Step 1) Open an image by clicking on in the toolbar. You can choose one of the images supplied with Repligator for this tutorial, for example Swan.jpg:

Swan.jpg

Step 2) You will be asked to choose an effect or to let the wizard choose:

Choose effect dialog

Step 3) Leave the "Wizard chooses" check box checked and click on OK. Repligator will automatically choose an effect and its settings for you. Here is an example of what it might create:

Blue China Swan

Repligator has chosen the Blue China effect and applied it to your image.

Step 4) Make Repligator choose again to create another image, by clicking on in the toolbar, or pushing the F7 function key. Repligator will create another version of your image, for example:

Reflected Psychedelic Swan

Push F7 (or click on F7) a few more times to create a few images.

Step 5) Now you will select an image you like, and save it. To do this you need to be able to choose which image(s) you want to save. You can do this using the cursor keys on the keyboard to go "backwards" and "forwards", or click on the green arrows in the toolbar:

Sequence Navigation

If you click on the icon in the middle of the green arrows you will get a dialog box which shows you thumbnails of the images you have created. For example:

Sequence Dialog

Here you can use the cassette player type buttons to move backwards and forwards among the images you have created. Double click on the one you want to go back to.

Step 6) Saving your image. Once you have found an image you want to save simply click on the Save Button icon or use control-S.
