Repligator Tutorial 1 : Getting Started
(You may like to print this tutorial (see under the File menu of this window), it is about 2 A4 pages long)
In this tutorial you will see how to use Repligator to transorm your images with special effects.
Step 1) Open an image by clicking on
in the toolbar. You can choose one of the images supplied with Repligator for
this tutorial, for example Swan.jpg:
Step 2) You will be asked to choose an effect or to let the wizard choose:
Step 3) Leave the "Wizard chooses" check box checked and click on OK. Repligator will automatically choose an effect and its settings for you. Here is an example of what it might create:
Repligator has chosen the Blue China effect and applied it to your image.
Step 4) Make Repligator choose again to create another image,
by clicking on in the toolbar,
or pushing the F7 function key. Repligator will create another version of your
image, for example:
Push F7 (or click on )
a few more times to create a few images.
Step 5) Now you will select an image you like, and save it. To do this you need to be able to choose which image(s) you want to save. You can do this using the cursor keys on the keyboard to go "backwards" and "forwards", or click on the green arrows in the toolbar:
If you click on the icon in the middle of the green arrows you will get a dialog box which shows you thumbnails of the images you have created. For example:
Here you can use the cassette player type buttons to move backwards and forwards among the images you have created. Double click on the one you want to go back to.
Step 6) Saving your image. Once you have found an image you want
to save simply click on the
icon or use control-S.
